Ferry Service
The
Elizabeth River Ferry is a system of three 150-passenger
paddle-wheel ferryboats, one of which is the world's first natural gas-powered
pedestrian ferry. The Ferry travels between North Landing
and High Street in Portsmouth and Downtown Norfolk at The Waterside Marketplace.
It's fast, economical and offers a panorama harbor view – a 5 minute ride. The
Ferry operates every 30 minutes, with 15-minute service at peak times on
weekends. The Ferry is wheelchair accessible and allows boarding passengers to

Take the Ferry for Fun
Day or night, riding the Ferry is a great way to get around.
Restaurants, museums, shopping and more are all within walking distance of the
docks. The
Waterside Festival Marketplace is an entirely unique shopping,
dining, and entertainment adventure. Poised at Elizabeth River and directly
across from the hotel, The Waterside offers major restaurants, specialty retail
shops, and international food court and exciting nightlife with music, dancing
and live entertainment. Boat cruises and ferries depart from The Waterside
daily.
Take the Ferry to Harbor Park
The Ferry runs between North Landing in
Portsmouth and Harbor Park in Norfolk. Harbor Park is home of the
Norfolk Tides,
the Triple-A affiliate of the
Baltimore Orioles. Service runs every 30 minutes
beginning one hour before game time and continuing just after the game ends.
